Good to know

Welcome to our farmhouse in Gillett! We want you to feel at home and also have a smooth, comfortable stay, so here are a few helpful things to know: 🌿 Rural Setting Our home is located in a peaceful rural area surrounded by nature. You may see wildlife, farm activity, and enjoy quiet nights. With that comes limited light pollution—perfect for stargazing! 🚗 Drive & Parking Parking is available on-site. Drive carefully, especially in winter or rainy weather, as rural roads and driveways can change with conditions. 📶 Cell Service & Wi-Fi Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier due to the rural location. Wi-Fi is provided and works well for most streaming and browsing needs. 🔥 Heating & Cooling The home uses a central thermostat plus additional room controls (where applicable). Because of changing Wisconsin weather, temperatures may vary slightly between rooms. 🐾 Nature & Insects Being in a country setting, occasional insects or critters may make their way inside despite regular pest control. Keeping doors closed helps prevent this. 🧹 Farmhouse Character This is a classic farmhouse—not a new-build hotel—so you may notice charming quirks that come with older homes. We think it adds to the experience, but we are always available if anything needs attention. 🕒 Quiet Hours & Respect for Neighbors Please be mindful of noise, especially in the evening, as sound carries in rural areas. 🧳 Essentials Provided We provide basic essentials like linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towel , shampoo and conditioner, and kitchen basics so you can settle in easily. 💬 We’re Here to Help If anything comes up during your stay, please reach out right away—we are just down the road and we want to make sure your visit is comfortable and enjoyable.

This location offers a quiet, country atmosphere with significant privacy and proximity to Wisconsin’s natural landscapes. Neighborhood Character Rural Landscape: Claywood Road is primarily a residential and agricultural corridor. Properties here often feature larger lots with a mix of wooded areas and open fields, providing a "sparse suburban" environment. Housing & Community: The area has a high rate of homeownership (over 80%). The community is tight-knit and tends to be more conservative, with a significant population of long-term residents and retirees. We loved our four-day stay at the B & V in Gillett, WI. It was an old restored completely renovated farmhouse that had a lot of comforts and conveniences that weren’t expecting but were really pleased about. A real old fashion farmhouse experience with all the latest technology. Highly recommended! Peace and quiet in the countryside with peak autumn colors all around us!

Easy access to and from Lambeau Field. Quicker easy access to and from the new zoo. Great accommodation’s for children. The wagon ride was great. Loved that there was a wagon rental. Johna’s fresh bread and eggs were a wonderful surprise.

Johna was an amazing host. We were fishing this weekend and my boat had issues. Johna and her husband showed up with a charger and an extension cord to help us. They also gave recommendations to a marine store to get a part we needed. The house was perfect. We had 4 guys but easily could have slept several more. One major convenience was being able to leave our boat outside and not be concerned about things being stolen. There was an exterior plug in to charge our boat as well. We booked this trip extremely last minute. We had plans to fish elsewhere and had to cancel due to weather. Johna had the house ready to go within an hour. She was extremely responsive to messages and was able to assist us with any questions. We would highly recommend this house. Thank you to Johna for making this such as awesome trip.
